Environmental Portraits

Photo by Aaron Lee Fineman. Photo details; Moby, Musician, Washington, DC. Origional Link fineman09.jpg

This portrait to me is of a band member working the sound board. It shows use of less depth of field to pull the member forward and thus making him the focal point. With the use of mixed lighting the viewer is lead through the photograph starting with the warmer colors and ending with the cooler colors  .  I chose this photograph because it is interesting and lively due to the use of mixed lighting and contrast of the dark and light colors.

This Portrait is of a child named Lizzie. The soft diffused light gives the photo a easy relaxed feeling. Having less depth of field brings Lizzie to the foreground and makes her the focal point. Its clearly a photo of a child who enjoys nature. I chose this photo because it brings portraiture and nature together and uses both to tell a story.

This portrait to me is one of a individual walking who just stopped to take in a moment. This photo uses  less depth of field to bring the young lady forward into the forground making her the focal point. With the use of natural diffused light this is definitely a relaxed portrait. I chose this photo because it has no catch light in the eyes which shows the use of natural lighting in portraiture.
